The Neuroinclusion Quality Marker Accreditation

Recognising organisations that are truly neuroinclusive

The Neuroinclusion Quality Marker rewards and recognises organisations that place neurodiversity at the heart of their equality, diversity, and staff wellbeing commitments. A neuroaffirming approach doesn’t just accept difference—it embraces and celebrates it.

What is the Neuroinclusion Quality Marker?

The Neuroinclusion Quality Marker is a set of best practice standards for embedding neuroinclusion across workplaces, clubs, and organisations of all kinds. It provides a clear and practical framework to assess, develop, and evidence your commitment to neurodiversity.

It enables you to:

  • Benchmark your approach against recognised best practice

  • Develop consistent standards across your organisation

  • Evidence your commitment through actions, policies, practices, and governance

Why Apply?

Achieving the Neuroinclusion Quality Marker reflects your active commitment to supporting neurodivergent people within your organisation.

It signals that you are fostering a supportive and empowering culture — where diverse potential is recognised, included, and celebrated.

Benefits include:

  • Demonstrating a consistent standard of practice for neurodiversity

  • Signalling a psychologically safe place to work—where struggles are not hidden under the carpet

  • Increasing staff retention and reducing sickness and absence

  • Enhancing your organisation’s reputation and professional confidence

  • Supporting productivity, innovation, and inclusive growth

Neuroinclusive practice benefits everyone—not just those who are neurodivergent.

Who is it for?

The Neuroinclusion Quality Marker is for any organisation that includes people — voluntary or statutory, workplace or community-based.

Whether you're a startup or a large, multi-site organisation, if you have staff, members, or customers, this framework can help you improve inclusion and wellbeing across the board.

Levels of Accreditation

There are three levels of the Neuroinclusion Quality Marker.

Each builds on the last, but organisations may choose to apply directly for the level that best reflects their current practice.

Reasonable adjustments are clearly in place and part of wider diversity and inclusion practices

Diamond – Extensive Neuroaffirming Practice

Deeply embedded neurodiversity-informed working

User voice embedded in strategic decision-making

Recognised as a centre of excellence in neuroinclusive practice

Embraces neurodivergence as part of identity, without pressure to mask or conform
